The End of the Page

Now you know and knowing is just a touch over half the battle.

James Bond to Michael Bay: A Day in the life of…(3/28)

Posted by goldwriting on March 28, 2008

1 – Sean Connery, my choice for best of the Bond actors, actually said in an interview that he wouldn’t deny the chance to be in a new Bond film, but he wants to come back as a villain. The possibility of Bond vs. Bond on screen is nearly too good to be true. Not far off from Double Stuff Oreos, which are almost too good to be true, but I’ve actually eaten them, so I know they’re real. [via Starpulse]

2 – I can’t say I’ve ever lent much thought to the lasting effects of being raped by a wombat, but I can honestly say developing an Australian accent was never on my list of side effects. Of course, the dude was phoning in a prank call to the local 9-1-1, but now, now I can’t help but wonder… [via PerezHilton]

3 – Dolph is back. Be warned! This time he’s directing too, so I expect twice the muscle and all the cheese. [via FilmDrunk]

4 – I’m not usually a big fan of movies becoming TV shows, but it definitely works better than the other way around. They definitely found success with transitions like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, M.A.S.H. and Stargate, so know they are hoping that same success can be found with Children of Men. Put in the capable hands that brought about the new rendition of Battlestar Galactica, I feel confident that we are in for something interesting. [via Film School Rejects]

5 – I bought my friend the Optimash Prime version last year for his birthday, but this Indiana Jones Mr. Potato Head might actually take the novelty cake. Can we hope beyond hope that they’ll make a evil Joker Potato? Something about that just tickles my creepy bone, but in a good way. [via Uncrate]

6 – Second Life, the virtual user generated world, is continuing to find itself a haven and teaching ground for people with Autism and those closely connected to them. Once again some amazingly thoughtful and visionary people have taken the outreaches of new technology and found uses more beneficial to society and the people in it than new higher digitized ways to blow people up. Kudos to them. [via CNN]

7 – Yep, one poster comes out and I am already buying my tickets. [via Film School Rejects]

8 – Did you for a moment think that stardom and fame wouldn’t go to the heads of robots as easily as it does people. If so, you’re just plain silly and here’s the proof. Optimus Prime and Megatron turn Hollywood douchebag, while Leader One from the Gobots cries over his soy non-fat lattes. Nice cameo by Johnnie 5 as well. [via GorillaMask via College Humor]

9 – With smoother graphics, more violence and even stronger ratings from the gaming associations, Grand Theft Auto IV looks to be the next step in bad assitude for gamers. [via GorillaMask via Crave Online]

10 – I posted a smaller version of this before, but guess what this version has over the original one? It’s even more awesome! [via Film School Rejects]
