The End of the Page

Now you know and knowing is just a touch over half the battle.

Frisky Fish to Free Moby: A day in the life of…(4/15)

Posted by goldwriting on April 15, 2008

1 – Here’s an animated video and song about something you already knew about Ariel from The Little Mermaid, but didn’t want to say in chaste company. [via CollegeHumor]

2 – I grew up a fan of professional wrestling, so I’ve seen some amazing stuff over the years, but once again the level of insanity over in Japan is paralleled by no one. I’m fairly convinced that if they wanted to flip forever in mid-air, never touching the ground, they totally could . [via With Leather]

3 – First Disney came out and told everyone that they were going to be throwing a heavy hand into the 3-D ring, but now Dreamworks has not only added their name to the list, but they acquired the rights to the cult anime phenom Ghost in the Shell to adapt and apply the 3-D technique to. This actually tickles me inside just thinking about the visuals of diving inside someone’s cyberspace soul. Could be fantastic, could be trippy, most likely will trigger epilepsy outbreak. [via ComingSoon]

4 – Just when you thought someone couldn’t find yet another way to play the theme song to Super Mario Brothers, here comes the tonally filled wine bottles and carefully driven RC car. Now I am actually frightened of what will come next, possibly involving spoons and a fossilized monkey. [via Dave]

5 – The celebs are just lovin’ this new trend of parody PSA videos. The newest addition is Kristen Bell begging for your money and your concern in the case of Christopher Mintz-Plasse, who played the unforgettable McLovin in Superbad. The fund is a future account to pay for his inevitable addictions that will cover his depression from being a massive one-hit wonder. (Truthfully, he already has about three more movies in the pipe, so his train is still rolling). [via FilmDrunk]

6 – The new poster for The Incredible Hulk has arrived. Thoughts? Fears? Confusion over exactly how big he is really supposed to be? [via FilmDrunk]

7 – No matter how much I tried when I was a kid, I could never make this happen when I spun cans of paint around as fast as possible. I feel totally ripped off. [via Explosm]

8 – Now we see the downside of optimism. [via Garfield Minus Garfield]

9 – Proposing to your girlfriend by programming a wedding ring into the game Bejewled is pretty much the coolest thing I have ever heard. It really beats out the Wedding Fatality I designed for Mortal Kombat, where the victor just grabs the opponent’s ring finger and runs away with it. [via CNN]

10 – No matter what you think of his music, Moby is pretty much one of the most karmic and positive people on the planet, so it should be no surprise that he would create brand new music and put it up on a free downloading site for non-profit, independent filmmakers to use for their soundtracks. My bet in the “What will Moby come back as in the next life?” pool just got better. I totally chose: “A big, fluffy cloud.” [via swissmiss]
